Miscommunication
In this lesson students will watch a short animated film about miscommunication, will discuss their experiences of communication and think about what influences the ways in which people communicate, and will create some tips for effective communication.
Being a good listener
In this lesson students will discuss their experiences of being listened to very well and not so well; they will consider factors which affect listening and then will conduct a role play in which their characters act out both good and bad listening. They will come up with good listening tips by designing a poster which gives advice.
Listening Skills
In this lesson students will consider their own listening skills, will reflect on culture-based listening practices by conducting a questionnaire and will think about the uses of open-ended and closed questions.
Social Media
In this lesson students will consider different methods of communication now and in the past. They will compare their experience of using social media others and discussed their feelings about social media. They will do research to find useful social media groups or forums for anyone living in their locality or country.
